Ishikawa Prefecture 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief Fund

January 1, 2024 around 16:10 p.m.
An earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of 7 occurred with its epicenter in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture.
It caused severe damage to both Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures.
Damage including collapsed houses, deaths, and injuries has been confirmed.
Additionally, seismic activity has been ongoing in this region for more than three years.
This situation is expected to continue for some time, and continued vigilance is required.
In past cases, the percentage of earthquakes of the same magnitude occurring after a major earthquake is 10-20%.
In areas where the shaking was strong, the shaking will continue for about a week after the earthquake.
