Introducing our monthly limited edition cheese – not offered regularly!
Grana Padano DOP aged for 60 months
The origin of Grana Padano DOP dates back to around 1000 AD in the Po River Plain. It was invented by the abbey’s monks to preserve the surplus cow milk. Its name comes from the meaning “granular cheese of Po Plain”. Grana Padano aged for more than 20 months is clasified as “Riserva”, and with the 60 aged varieties is not normally commercially available in Italy, even less in Japan!
Enjoy it with full-bodied red wine, passito wine or also with some intense and rich flavoured beers.
